This Is How We Dream
Richard Miller makes some very good points in this video. He says that educators should discuss their ideas freely, and I think that this is a very important aspect in teaching. Technology is making everything so much faster, and being able to access everything by video will just make it that much faster. I wish they would have taught this much about technology when I was in school, because now I am playing catch up.
The Chipper Series and EDM 310 for Dummies
I don't know what I would make a video about. Their is a ton of stuff that I enjoy doing, but none of it is really video worthy. If I had to chose one thing it would probably have something to do with training my dogs. I am by no means a dog trainer, but I have two extremely hyper dogs and have had to learn new ways of teaching them to behave.
Learn to Change, Change to Learn
I think that The statements made in this video are absolutely correct. If using technology would make the students more interested in their work then why not use it. Sometimes it is hard to trust that the students will not abuse the technology. But in order to see if that assumption is true you have to give the students a chance.
The Secret Powers of Time, By: Philip Zambardo AND Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us, By: David Pink
In the video "The Secret Powers of Time" they are basically saying that we are way to stresses out and need to slow down. I agree with that statement. A lot of us do forget that we need to spend time with friends and family.
In "The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us" they say that when given a large incentive that work production goes down. I see how this makes sense. When you are left alone to complete your work then you are not under as much stress to finish. And I am always able to finish something faster when I am not stresses about it.
